Hiking to Piney Creek Falls

Nancy and I went hiking with the Fairfield Glade Hiking Club last Friday. It was a short (about 3 miles) but excellent hike. We hiked to and then behind an 80 foot waterfall and then to the top of another 45 foot waterfall. This was our second hike with the Club.

Trout on Cane Creek

Went for a little trout fishing today on Cane Creek - about 45 minutes away. We each caught about 15-20. Ray kept 6 for dinner; I released all of mine. They were obviously stockers, but nice size for stockers - 11-13 inches. Caught most on nymphs, but I caught about 3 or 4 on an Parachute Adams dry fly. One fun time was when a couple of local guys stopped on a bridge and asked me if there were any trout in the stream. I caught 3 while I was talking to them.
